WeWeb Review (2026)
A visual web app front-end builder that connects to your own database or backend service, exports clean Vue and is aimed at agencies delivering production work.
The quick answer
Assessed for 2026The professional choice in this bracket. WeWeb takes 4.4 on integrations and 4.1 on SEO because it treats a web application as something that has to be fast, indexable and connected to real data, which is not the norm here. The AI assistance is deliberately minor, so if you were hoping to describe an app and receive one, this is the wrong tool. Paired with Xano or Supabase it produces work an agency can hand over without embarrassment.

The dissenting view
One panellist wanted a higher value score, noting agencies bill the build anyway. The mark accounts for the fact that a working product needs a second paid tool underneath.
One member of the panel disagreed with the consensus. We publish the disagreement rather than average it away.

What works / What does not
What works
- Genuinely good SEO output at 4.1, rare for a visual builder
- Connects cleanly to any REST or GraphQL backend
- Vue code export on higher plans keeps the exit open
What does not
- Needs a separate paid backend to be useful, so the real monthly cost is higher than the sticker
- AI assistance is minimal by design
- Learning curve assumes you understand data binding and collections

The only one my clients pass an audit with
Rafael Otero@rafaelotero
Runs a six-person studio building client web apps. Cares about handover more than novelty.
Server-rendered pages, real Lighthouse scores, connects to whatever backend the client already has, and we can export Vue if the relationship ends. That last part has won us two contracts. The learning curve is real and our juniors take a month, but the output is work I am willing to sign.
- Pros
- Genuinely good SEO and performance. Vue export keeps the exit open.
- Cons
- Needs a paid backend underneath, so the real cost is higher than the price.

Pages that actually rank, from a visual builder
Clara Fonseca@clarafonseca
Marketing lead. My interest in these tools begins and ends with whether the page ranks.
I have been burned by every other visual tool on search performance. This one renders on the server, the markup is clean, and our category pages are competing with hand-built competitors. I cannot build in it myself without help, but I no longer dread what the developers hand me.
- Pros
- Search performance is the best of any visual builder we tested.
- Cons
- Not something a marketer can drive alone.

Far too much tool for me
Sinead Mulcahy@sineadmulcahy
Practice manager for a four-clinic veterinary group. Not technical, extremely stubborn.
Collections, bindings, workflows, and a backend I had to buy separately before anything appeared on screen. I understand now that it is aimed at agencies. Nothing about how it was sold to me suggested that. I would tell anyone in my position to look at the simpler end of this index first.
- Pros
- Clearly professional quality if you have the skills.
- Cons
- Assumes agency-level knowledge and a second paid tool.

Frequently asked
- Does WeWeb include a database?
- No. It is a front-end builder. Xano and Supabase are the usual partners, and both cost money on top.
- Is WeWeb good for SEO?
- Yes, one of the better scores in the index at 4.1, thanks to proper server rendering and clean markup.
- Can you export code from WeWeb?
- Vue export is available on higher plans, which is why code ownership scores 3.8 rather than the 2.x typical of closed builders.
