Airtable9 August 2026The data layer everything else in our stack talks to
Three departments collaborate in it, two portals read from it, and the API has never surprised me. Interfaces have quietly got good enough that half the dashboards I used to build elsewhere now live here. Treat it as your operational database and it is close to unbeatable.
Softr29 July 2026The record limits designed our product for us
We grew past the tier limits twice in six months and both times the upgrade was driven by row counts rather than anything we wanted. Performance also softened noticeably as the base grew. It is a good tool for a portal that stays a portal. Ours did not, and that was our misjudgement more than theirs.
Glide29 July 2026Great inside the building, useless outside it
For staff-facing work it is the most reliable thing I have used in this category. I tried to use it for a small public directory and that was a mistake, there is nothing there for search and nothing you can do about it. Keep it behind a login and it is excellent.

The staging and source control part is underrated. It is the difference between an internal tool and a liability.
